Becoming Her

INTRODUCTION

Our Mission

A conference for women, by women.

If you’re a woman in business, you’ve probably been to countless seminars where the topics of discussion focus on growing your business, understanding email cadences, or landing new clients. Despite the valuable business lessons we need, it can feel like so much is still missing.

Like how to push past the painful imposter syndrome that tells you you’re failing when you’re flying.

Or how to cope with unrelenting pressure to be the dedicated entrepreneur, ideal partner, and perfect mother – all at the same time.

Or how to pick out a power outfit that makes you feel like you own the room before you even walk through the door.

Becoming Her is a one-day conference that offers an empowering space where women can discuss all aspects of womanhood, be inspired by top business leaders, and find authentic support that can take their success to new heights. Our mission is to offer a transformative event where we can tell our stories, learn from each other, and thrive together.

It’s about becoming the version of her that matters most to you.

As an industry leader, Sam is passionate about building business communities for women and guiding others to success on their terms. With extensive experience attending and speaking at conferences, Sam was inspired at these events by what she was learning as a business leader – and what she felt was missing for her as a woman. While the business topics were helpful, Sam noticed the essential conversations she was having with other women needed to make it to the conference stage.

With the constant pressure, comparisons and challenges women in all industries can face, Sam wanted to create a space for honest conversations and genuine support. Instead of saving the important topics for coffee breaks or after-conference chats, she’s putting them in the spotlight at the Becoming Her Toronto conference.

“As a woman in leadership, I feel I have the opportunity to pull other talented businesspeople up with me, which inspired me to create a space for women to embrace who they are and who they want to be.” – Sam Hewit
